Nja, nästan men inte riktigt eller snarare "det beror på". 1988 kan Sierra ha motor med eller utan kat, den utan kat är i praktiken samma som i Scorpion, men den kattade motorn skiljer en del (lägre kompression är det viktigaste).

Det skiljer också en del detaljer i styrsystemen mellan 1986 och 1988.
