A few months ago me and my dad decided to build a Lotus 7 replica based on Mazda MX5. We are using most of the parts from Mazda Mx5 (some of them require modification)-engine 1.8 VVT -6 speed gearbox -LSD diff (torsen, ratio 3.6) -prop shaft -drive shafts -uprights+hubs -steering column -brake system -electrical System -wheels expect that....laser cut round tube chassis fibreglass panels alloy tank coilovers inboard suspension a lot of custom fabricated parts........... In the meantime Fuel system (fuel pump, filter and regulator) Cooling system with coolant re-route (the thermostat moved on the back) First time the kitcar outdoor.... We fabricated the chassis, but used outside company for cutting all elements... Most manufacturers use square tubes but we decided use round tubes. The chassis looks better and is stronger Quote
