A few months ago me and my dad decided to build a Lotus 7 replica based on Mazda MX5.

We are using most of the parts from Mazda Mx5 (some of them require modification)

-engine 1.8 VVT

-6 speed gearbox

-LSD diff (torsen, ratio 3.6)

-prop shaft

-drive shafts

-uprights+hubs

-steering column

-brake system

-electrical System

-wheels

expect that....
laser cut round tube chassis

fibreglass panels

alloy tank

coilovers

inboard suspension

a lot of custom fabricated parts...........

Is the chassi a Roadrunner racing sr2?

Very similar to Roadrunner racing sr2 but not exactly...

Ok, did you buy the chassis or did you fabricate it yourself? Lasercut tubing isn't that common...

Yes. We fabricated the chassis, but used outside company for cutting all elements...

Most manufacturers use square tubes but we decided use round tubes.

The chassis looks better and is stronger

How do you assemble the panels when the tubes are round, instead of square tubes ??
